Aircraft Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Because of Fracture in Windshield
A jet ferrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unplanned landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the jet's front window, as stated by an announcement which verified that the secretary was unharmed.
"The jet touched down following standard protocol and everyone onboard, including Pete Hegseth, is safe," a press officer stated in a social media post.
He was traveling back from a quick journey to Brussels at the time.
This incident is not the initial instance that a American defense plane transporting a top government figure has suffered mechanical issues.
Earlier this year, a United States Air Force aircraft carrying Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was compelled to turn back to Washington DC after encountering a mechanical fault.
