Approximately Ninety Flights Connected to Jeffrey Epstein Reportedly Came to or from UK Airports
An investigation has found that nearly 90 flights linked to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein allegedly touched down at and left British airports, with some allegedly carrying women from the UK who claim they were exploited by the found guilty child sex offender.
Aviation Records Show Pattern of Movement
These aviation records were part of thousands of legal papers and papers made public by Epstein’s estate that have been released over the last year. The investigation identified 87 aircraft movements connected to Epstein – featuring many that were previously unknown – landing or taking off from UK airports between the early 1990s and 2018.
Passenger Details and After Guilty Verdict Travel
Unidentified women were documented among the individuals travelling into and out of the UK. Crucially, 15 of these UK flights happened after Epstein’s 2008 conviction for procuring prostitution from a minor.
“It was ‘astonishing’ that there had never been a ‘full-scale UK investigation’ into his dealings in the country,” stated American attorneys representing numerous Epstein victims.
UK Survivors and Legal Proceedings
A statement from one of the UK-based survivors aided the conviction of Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell of child sex-trafficking in the US in 2021. But, that victim has never been contacted by UK authorities, according to her attorney based in Florida.
In a response, the London's Metropolitan Police stated they had “not been provided with any further information that would support reopening the probe.” They added, “If new and relevant information be brought to our attention, encompassing any arising from the release of documents in the US, we will evaluate it.”
Continuing Disclosure and Judicial Decisions
Proposed legislation to make public every document held by the US government in regarding Epstein passed the US Congress last month. The US justice department has until 19 December to comply. Hundreds of thousands of files are projected to be released.
Additionally, a federal judge decided last week that the department could disclose case files from a trafficking prosecution against Maxwell, Epstein’s long-term associate, who is serving a 20-year jail term over the charges.
