Harvard ex-president Summers Leaves from AI Company's Directors
Former US treasury secretary Lawrence Summers is departing from the governing body at OpenAI, just a week after a collection of electronic messages between him and deceased financier the disgraced billionaire became public.
Summers stated in an announcement that he was "appreciative for the opportunity to have served, enthusiastic about the prospects of the company, and eagerly await observing their progress".
Summers, who formerly headed Harvard University, announced on earlier this week that he would be withdrawing from public roles due to his relationship with the convicted sex offender.
