Orbital Images Indicate Iranian Naval Forces and Nuclear Facilities Hit by American and Israeli Airstrikes.

Multiple joint strikes has according to analysis destroyed or damaged no fewer than 11 Iran's navy ships since Saturday, freshly analyzed satellite images show, with missile bases and enrichment plants also coming under fire.

Photographs of the southern Konarak naval base and the Bandar Abbas port facility, which is located on the strategic Hormuz Strait and is home to the headquarters of the Iran's naval force, show black smoke pouring from multiple ships on the start of the week.

Maritime Forces Incurred Substantial Losses

Included in the ships sunk was the IRINS Makran, Iran's most sizable ship which had functioned as a unmanned aerial vehicle platform. Aerial imagery indicated black smoke emanating from the ship which had been stationed at the Bandar Abbas base.

Intelligence evaluations indicate that at least a quintet of warships at Bandar Abbas were "struck or destroyed". Photos of the southern end of the harbor show plumes ascending from the IRINS Makran, while two other ships appear to be damaged, with one of them visibly ablaze.

At the Konarak base, photos reveal multiple damaged vessels, with analysis pointing to strikes against six vessels. Images taken on Monday also show that a number of facilities at the installation have been destroyed.

"For many years the Iranian regime has threatened international shipping," an American commander stated. "Now, there is not a single vessel from Iran operational in the Persian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz or Gulf of Oman, and we will persist."

A number of ships allegedly destroyed may have been concealed in satellite images by haze or plumes, or struck at sea, and have not been independently verified. Additional information indicated that a ship from Iran was foundering off the coast of Sri Lankan territorial waters, prompting a rescue operation.

Missile Bases and Nuclear Locations Attacked

Eliminating Tehran's launch facilities and the prevention of nuclear weapons development were stated as additional objectives of the offensive. Satellite images also depicted damage at the southern Khorgu base and northwestern Tabriz missile facilities, and at the Konarak air air base, where weapons bunkers and bunkers were struck.

At the Choqa Balk-e drone UAV facility west of the city of Kermanshah, significant damage was identified to storage buildings, bunkers and UAV launching apparatus.

Impact was also seen at a radar site at the Zahedan airbase airbase in eastern Iran, close to the frontier with Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Perhaps most notably, the most recent series of strikes have reportedly hit facilities at Natanz – long said to be at the heart of the country's enrichment efforts. A global monitoring agency commented that the affected structures were used for entry to the facility's below-ground enrichment facility and that "no radiological consequence" was likely.

Broader Fallout and Analysis

Military analysts suggested that the offensive appeared to have "significantly degraded" the Iran's naval ability to sustain traditional warfare using its most significant vessels. However, it was emphasised that Tehran still has the ability to launch unconventional attacks at sea through the use of unmanned aerial vehicles, mini-submarines and its so-called "ghost fleet" of tankers.

The full scope of the damage caused to Iran's defense facilities is still uncertain, with strikes reportedly ongoing. Pictures also reveals considerable damage to the main offices of the Iran's Revolutionary Guards in the city of Tehran.

A significant number of public facilities also seem to have been hit in the capital city and throughout the country after the conflict escalated. Casualty figures from inside Iran indicate that hundreds of non-combatants may have been lost their lives in the bombardment.

With the conflict ongoing, monitoring of space-based data will carry on to assess the evolving scope of damage.
